STANDING LAMP
This lamp is inspired by the very specific shape of bamboo. The lighting system is directly attached to the diaphragm, a thick membrane that separates the cavity of the internodes. The bamboo stem is then perforated to allow light to shine through.
The Aya lamp embodies the designer's minimalist approach. Equipped with a handle, it is designed to be moved around a living space according to one's desires. It showcases bamboo in its complete stem form, as well as split into curved strips or, more finely, into fibers suitable for basketry techniques. The combination with paper, a smoother material used for part of the lampshade, contrasts with the natural textures, grain, and patterns present on the bamboo's surface, highlighting them beautifully.
